What a cozy, warm and safe place this feels. Perhaps it is all the light within, all the dark without. This marvelous photo simply made me feel secure, warm, content – but made me a woman of few words.
Thanks again to Tess at The Mag for a marvelous and unique prompt.
Midnight Snack, 1984, by Curtis Wilson Cost
house
my cabin
at the end
of the
rainbow
at the ends
of the earth
my home
and my haven
nothing is perfect
like all good
things
there is a danger
there is an
edge that you
do not wish
to fall off of
as long as you
remain on top of
the world
as long as
you stay away
from the edge
you will be
safe
drink a cup
of tea
curl up
with kitty
open a box
of chocolates
stay warm
stay safe
be sane
unwind
you deserve
this and so
do i
please say
nothing
calm….lovely poem!!
Thank you Mohana
Falling off edges is never a good idea… Lots of tension as we wonder what made the edge loom?
Jinsky I am a bit literal and this photo or painting looks as though one can walk to the edge and fall off the world.
When you find your sanctuary, it’s sometimes makes us reluctant to leave. Yes, you found the magic in the pic too. At first I thought it somehow threatening and yet, my mind too, didn’t want to go ‘there’ with the writing. Loved this 🙂
It is so very important isn’t it? I agree.
I think I will… except I’d curl up with my kids and dogs.
haha….love the please say nothing at the end….and there is an edge you dont want to fall off when you get that far off the grid…there is danger in the peace…
Sounds good.
We all deserve that…a safe haven to come home to.
If only all could have that, yes, it is that important.
Please say nothing? Not possible after reading your warm and lovely poem.
Thank you Helen. Sweet words.
So lovely. Peace and chocolate=perfection.
Thanks kiddo.
Especially chocolate…
Amen.
<– saying nothing!!
😉
I adore that ending!
Thanks Mama!
i promise, i will stay away from the edge…smiles…nothing is perfect
like all good
things… i like that…life is imperfect and that is good..great work on the atmosphere…
It is the imperfections perhaps, that make us continue to strive.
Oh my! What stunning new decor for you blog. Absolutely beautiful. Sooo earthy …
… and yes! We do deserve this and have it in the core of being always …
Exquiste. Thank you!~
Serenely beautiful. And I love the ending.
=)
THANK YOU.
Trouble is everywhere and we can’t get rid of them. We just need to stay away from getting ourselves into trouble and enjoy our own paradise.
Please say nothing? Am I allowed to comment?
Of course you are … that day words simply tumbled out of my mouth.
Zunnur I have attempted to comment 4-5 times on your blog however, none of my clicks open anything and the comment box is shadow like??????
drink a cup
of tea
curl up
with kitty
open a box
of chocolates
AND
please say
nothing
